Idaho has state, county and
city governments. Inside each entity are various departments
just as the Federal Governments structure. Some the heads of the
various departments are elected and some are appointed. The
state has a 5% sales tax and certain counties and cities also have a
lodging excise tax on rooms or tourist attractions. Idaho
politics has been predominately Republican over the last several
years.
